A lovely coral ring from the Victorian?(ca1880) era! This beautiful ring is crafted in 14kt rose gold, and holds a natural coral cabochon within a raised prong setting. The coral is polished into a smooth oval shape, and displays a wonderful salmon shade.?Decorating the setting are fine engraved accents along the shoulders of the band, and filigree details that rest below the raised prongs. An engraved inscription can be found inside the?band, which is no longer fully legible due to normal wear. Stamped inside the shank is "14K." A very attractive piece, this everyday ring is perfect for the coral lover, and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size 7.75, but could easily be resized. The?coral centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 3mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the coral cabochon, which is intact and secure within its setting. A natural patina rests within the grooves of the engraved accents, which is normal and adds further depth to the design.
